The Henry G. Reitz Engineering Company was founded in 1908 by Henry and John Reitz to serve the West Park area. They incorporated the business in 1923. The current ownership began in 1947 with Paul T. Sayler and continues with his grandsons Stuart Sayler and Jim Sayler. From its inception the Company has been engaged in the practice of civil engineering and surveying.
Stuart Sayler and Jim Sayler, the principals of our company, are registered as both professional engineers and surveyors in the State of Ohio. They serve as project leaders on many on-going developments. Typical of the range of projects is design of residential subdivisions, commercial site plans, and storm water management systems. Within each project they function to work between client and approving authorities to design an economical solution to the needs of the client that properly satisfies the requirements of the governing bodies that have reviewing authority over the project. The coordination of each project begins with determining client needs and runs through the entire process of attending meetings to make presentations for the client, compiling information from field investigations and reference sources, overseeing in-house field work, drafting and design, obtaining approvals, preparing cost estimates and bid documents, contract administration and, as-built construction certification. Our principals have over 30 years of experience each and are members of the American Society of Professional Engineers, Ohio Society of Professionals Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Professional Land Surveyors of Ohio.
